Paul

Paul registered as a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2003 and incorporated CBS at the end of 2014. 

Paul has extensive experience across both accountancy practice and industry, providing him with a unique understanding of the practical and commercial challenges faced by business owners.

Having worked with businesses of all sizes and across a wide range of sectors, Paul specialises in business strategy, tax planning, business structuring and financial management. He works closely with business owners to help them improve profitability, streamline operations and develop long-term plans for growth and success.

Paul’s broad experience enables him to support clients through every stage of their business journey, from start-up and expansion through to succession planning and business sales. His practical, hands-on approach and commercial insight have made him a valued adviser to many longstanding clients.

He is particularly passionate about helping owner-managed businesses understand their financial performance and use that information to make informed decisions, identify opportunities and overcome challenges. By combining technical knowledge with real-world business experience, Paul provides advice that is focused not only on compliance, but on achieving clients’ wider personal and commercial objectives.

Jamie

Jamie registered as a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2016, joined the practice in 2017 and became a Director in 2019, helping to drive the continued growth of the firm and expand the range of services offered to clients.

Drawing on more than 14 years of practice experience, Jamie specialises in complex tax and advisory work, including Capital Gains Tax, property taxation, HMRC disclosures, business restructures and long-term tax planning strategies. He also oversees a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses, providing support on accounts, payroll, VAT, compliance and commercial decision-making.

Jamie regularly advises clients on matters ranging from property disposals and business transactions to HMRC compliance issues and strategic tax planning. His practical approach and attention to detail help clients navigate complex financial and taxation matters with confidence.

Jamie believes effective accountancy goes beyond meeting filing deadlines. By taking the time to understand each client’s goals and challenges, he provides practical, jargon-free advice that helps clients minimise risk, seize opportunities and make informed decisions with confidence.

His combination of technical expertise, commercial awareness and personal approach has helped establish lasting relationships with clients, many of whom rely on him as a trusted adviser throughout every stage of their business journey.

LAUREN

Lauren joined CBS in 2021 and has since progressed to the role of Operations Manager, reflecting her significant contribution to both the firm and its clients. She plays a key role in the management and development of the practice while supporting a diverse range of businesses with accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, management accounts, and business advisory services.

With a background in retail management, Lauren brings strong commercial awareness and practical experience in areas such as financial performance analysis, cost management, stock control, and team leadership. This combination of operational and financial expertise allows her to provide practical, solutions-focused advice tailored to each client’s needs.

Passionate about delivering exceptional client service, Lauren works closely with business owners to help them understand their finances, meet their compliance obligations, and make informed decisions. Her approachable nature and commitment to building long-term relationships make her a trusted adviser to many of the firm’s clients.

Rebekah

Rebekah joined CBS in June 2018 and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).

Based in Nottingham, she works remotely and supports a wide range of business and personal clients with accounts preparation, taxation matters, bookkeeping and general accountancy services.

With experience across a variety of industries and business sectors, Rebekah assists clients in meeting their compliance obligations while helping to ensure their financial affairs remain accurate, organised and up to date. Her attention to detail and methodical approach make her a trusted point of contact for many clients.

Known for her professional yet approachable style, Rebekah is a valued member of the team and is committed to providing clear, practical advice and responsive support tailored to her clients’ individual needs.

Kate

Kate joined CBS Accountants in August 2021 and has become a valued member of the team. She provides essential support to both clients and colleagues, assisting with bookkeeping, data processing, record maintenance and the day-to-day administrative functions of the practice.

Having previously spent nine years in the insurance industry, Kate brings a wealth of organisational, client service and administrative experience to the firm. Her strong attention to detail and proactive approach help ensure that client information is processed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the smooth running of the practice.

Kate holds AAT Bookkeeping Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications and supports the team across a variety of bookkeeping and administrative tasks.

Known for her friendly and approachable manner, Kate is committed to providing excellent support to both clients and colleagues and is an integral part of the CBS team.
